The Elections

The last eight years for Colombia have been very good. Good changes have been happening. This changes have been very good for Colombia. During the last eight yeras Colombia´s president has been Alvaro Uribe. He wanted a third period of presidential election but Colombia´s congress denied the third period of presidency for Alvaro Uribe.

There are both good and bad things of the Third period being denied

The Good
There needs to be change
Alvaro Uribe has been a great president but if in the future there is a bad president that where to run for a third period of presidency and wins that would be bad for Colombia
Power isn´t everything

The bad
Who know´s if the next president is going to be good?

Anyways Colombia will still improve and become a better place all the time, lets hope the elections are fair and that the chosen president is good for Colombia and it´s people.

How can we change something?

We tend to think that we want to make a big change for the world but we always question ourselves how to do it? I personally think that a big change can´t be done from one day to another, but changes must be done one at a time. Changes can be started with small things, probably the best way to do this is by persuading people to help you in the goal you have and trying very hard to do change. Well this was just made to show that I want to make a change probably it isn´t that big but at least I´m trying, the change I want to make is small and I am trying to do it through this blog (change the perspective of Colombia). I don´t know if this may sound weird but well things just go that way and everyone wants to make a change small or big and to do that you must start with small things like being proud of your country in this case and doing anything to make it happen.

EVEN IF THEY SAY I´M CRAZY

Not everyone has to be perfect and doesn´t have to do everything perfect when you have something or someone that makes you happy or loves you, that is great! In the last years living in Colombia and other places of the world I´ve learned that happiness is what makes you keep on and enjoy everything and everyone you have around. You might think this doesn’t have to do anything with the topic of my blog but actually yes!! I wanted to transmit the message that being accepted by friends like here in Colombia and many other places is very nice and actually is what gives you a life and an identity can be nationality or a skill or something you do that gives a good time to others, because that is what counts that you change at least one person’s life. What I´m trying to say is that like you accept your friends, your boyfriend, girlfriend, your family yourself you have to accept your country just like it´s with problems and any other thing that may just make it even a bit bad. I´m telling you about this because I met a guy this week that wasn´t proud of being Colombian and said he died for Being American that was sad, not because he wants to be American but because he doesn´t accept his country as it is. I mean do you think he will accept a girl even if she´s not perfect? Any ways it´s just my opinion and everyone’s opinions in the world count! Even my opinion, even if it may sound crazy to you!

About It

My country is Colombia, which is probably one of the most affected countries in the world with violence. But living in my country doesn´t mean living in a country full of danger and war. Yes, Colombia is living an internal conflict but this hasn´t stopped my country from becoming better every day and trying harder and harder to improve.
Everyone has a nationality and many people probably everyone would do anything to defend it. I made this blog to show both sides of Colombia’s conflict and as well show that many people have the wrong perception about my country. Many people in Colombia have been affected by this conflict and have lived terribly violent moments, but this doesn´t mean that coming to Colombia would totally put you in danger situations.
This blog is intended to show that Colombia is a great place and that like in many other places there are things that need solutions and people that are bad and many that are good. This blog is intended to show that even with a little help you can change some peoples life’s or even perception and show that people where born to know the truth, to learn from other people and your mistakes.
