I know few things about reality actually, but anyways I can learn more about it. Anyways I do know that the world is a disaster while others don´t. There are so many weird people that only think they exist. Anyways what else can I do? People don´t get it.

Country History
Colombia was one of the three countries that emerged from the collapse of Gran Colombia in 1830 (the others are Ecuador and Venezuela). A 40-year conflict between government forces and anti-government insurgent groups and illegal paramilitary groups escalated during the 1990s. Violence has been decreasing since about 2002, but attacks continue to occur. The Colombian Government has stepped up efforts to reassert government control throughout the country, and now has a presence in every one of its municipalities. However, concerns about violence still exist, being less than before.

For Today

I have been very sad and sick on the lasts days. This has caused me an uncreative attack. Which means I haven´t known what to write in the last days. Anyways I want to write of my opinion for today.
First of all I am simply tired of people thinking that their problems are so big they could affect the whole world. they even think the world will be destroyed, that the biggest catastrophe will happen to evolve out of their "huge" problems. How can people be like that? well it all starts when they are born and they are so spoiled they think nobody else in the world exists until second grade when they finally find out there are more countries and more people, but they are still being spoiled (this is done until eleventh grade more or less) then their life is ruined- they don´t know how to do anything alone. All because they are spoiled Brats that forgot that they are not the center of the universe.

Second of all Ive seriously been trying to be patient with people that are so presumed. I´m so tired of people believing they are the beautifulest thing that ever happened in the world. By the way this are the same people that care about what others think which means they don´t have a personality which doesn´t make them the beautifulest thing that happened to the world. People simply need to see reality.

Third of all I love Colombia and I am scared of what may happen to Colombia when a new president comes. I hope for the best to happen and also want Juan Manuel Santos to be the winner or else the last eight years will be useless to every Colombian that has a better life.

Cali-Colombia Fun Facts

Cali is Colombia’s third largest city. Founded in 1536 by Sebastian de Belalcazar, it was a sleepy little mountain town until the sugar and coffee industries brought prosperity to the region.

Cali is located in Colombia’s southwestern region, about 995 meters above sea level. A diverse region of coast, foothills and the Andean cordillera. Cali is a rich archaeological area, as well as culturally diverse. See this interactive map from Expedia.

It enjoys terrific nightlife in the salsotecas, and visitors enjoy the historic center as well as excursions into the surrounding areas for sugar haciendas.

Valle del Cauca has the most sugar facories in all Colombia.

TUESDAY QUOTES

It makes me happy to think that it´s Tuesday because I love quotes because they teach you and make you remmember about so many things about life.

" Be the change yo want to see in the world"

-Mahatma Gandhi

"If you don't like something change it; if you can't change it, change the way you think about it."
- Mary Engelbreit

"For everything you have missed, you have gained something else, and for everything you gain, you lose something else."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

"If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude."
- Maya Angelou

"Most people can look back over the years and identify a time and place at which their lives changed significantly. Whether by accident or design, these are the moments when, because of a readiness within us and a collaboration with events occurring around us, we are forced to seriously reappraise ourselves and the conditions under which we live and to make certain choices that will affect the rest of our lives."
- Frederick F. Flack

"Everything you now do is something you have chosen to do. Some people don't want to believe that. But if you're over age twenty-one, your life is what you're making of it. To change your life, you need to change your priorities."
- John C. Maxwell

It's a long road when you face the world alone, when no one reaches out a hand for you to hold. You can find love if you search within your soul, and the emptiness you felt will disappear."
-Mariah Carey

"Definition of forgiveness: The perfume a flower leaves on the shoe that crushed it."

Quote of the day: "Don´t judge the look, judge the soul."

I Was Wondering

I have been wondering in the last weeks why some people like to be seen as idiots. I was wondering what happens to those people I mean, I don´t know if they actually are idiots or they just make it all up. Well I´m not that sure but I just find it ridiculous and weird.
It might seem ridiculous but anyways that´s a brief something I wanted to talk about It´s weird but at least it´s logical.

Small post for the worst day of the week: Monday.

TUESDAY QUOTES

"Teach this triple truth to all: A generous heart, kind speech, and a life of service and compassion are the things which renew humanity." Buddha

"The world is indebted for all triumphs which have been gained by reason and humanity over error and oppression." Thomas Jefferson

"Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive." Dalai Lama

"An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity." Martin Luther King, Jr.

"All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence." Martin Luther King, Jr.

"It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity." Albert Einstein

"We cannot despair of humanity, since we ourselves are human beings." Albert Einstein

"You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty." Mohandas Gandhi

"Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being "in love" which any of us can convince ourselves we are. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Your mother and I had it, we had roots that grew towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossom had fallen from our branches we found that we were one tree and not two." -St. Augustine

My Oh My

I haven´t written in a long time about Colombia and I was thinking I could write about the near presidential elections in Colombia. Well there are six candidates but the most important or influential are Juan Manuel Santos and Antanas Mockus. Antanas Mockus is from the Partido Verde or Green whatever, I don´t like him I mean he has gained lots of popularity in the last weeks but I still think he is crazy in thinking that Colombia can survive without an army and that the most important thing for this country is education. I´m not saying education isn´t important I´m just saying that in order to succeed in it there must be security for all. He is crazy. By the way he has shown many people his butt and has peed in a classroom- now you see why I say he is CRAZY. Funny. He wants to be a Colombian president.

Then comes Juan Manuel Santos- he is right for being an intelligent and not crazy president of Colombia. He was Ministro de defensa when Uribe was president and he did great. He actually knows what the situation in Colombia needs. I don´t know what´s going on, people don´t get it he is what Colombia needs. How can people be changed in such a small time can´t they see that what has been done in the last year has improved many bad perceptions of others about Colombia? can´t they see that we can´t go back to the bad times of Colombia? People just seem stupid. It´s so complicated. The worst thing is I can´t vote, just because I´m not eighteen. That´s funnier, I know the reality and I´m fifteen and there´s people that don´t know what Colombia needs and are thirty. Wow! impressively FUNNY.
The thing is that I would actually be sad if Mockus wins. I´m scared of what will happen I love Colombia with all my might and I want the best for it so I would really want for the good to happen. Colombian´s think, Please. Colombia is your country the one that will give you and has given you everything the one that has given us the passion and the proudness we feel for it.

Conclusion: It´s to bad I can´t vote.

EARTH DAY

My whole blog has been based on Colombia and I have also been trying to make it about people´s values. People´s values are shrinking and with them the world is to. Our earth has been terribly affected by huamna beings in many aspects.
Here are some interesting facts of some of those aspects:
  • The rate of warming is increasing. The 20th century's last two decades were the hottest in 400 years and possibly the warmest for several millennia, according to a number of climate studies. And the United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reports that 11 of the past 12 years are among the dozen warmest since 1850.
  • Arctic ice is rapidly disappearing, and the region may have its first completely ice free summer by 2040 or earlier. Polar bears and indigenous cultures are already suffering from the sea-ice loss. http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2004/12/1206_041206_global_warming.html
  • 80% of the world´s forests are gone
  • 2000 trees a minute are cut down in the Amazon alone. That is seven football fields a minute.
  • Over 40% of all tropical forests have been destroyed and another acre is lost each second
  • Raw sewage, poison runoff and other pollution have caused 8,000 beach closures
  • Gas from cows is a big contributor to global warming.
  • Coral Reefs Can Be Used As Global Warming Indicators
  • One of the many global warming interesting facts is that coral which grows in the ocean can be used to determine the effects of this phenomenon. These underwater reefs are extremely sensitive, and even a temperature change of one or two degrees in the water can cause the coral to die off. This will alert scientists to areas which are increasing in temperature.
  • Rising Sea Levels Will Affect Hundreds Of Millions Of People
Rising sea levels are a big cause for concern. Currently more than one hundred million people live in coastal areas which will be flooded, and this can include entire states and countries, as well as islands.
  • Global Warming Can Cause Many Species To Become Extinct
Global warming interesting facts include the number of species that will become extinct if this trend is not reversed. Over a million species will no longer exist, except maybe in history books or museums, unless steps are taken to correct the issues and protect the earth.
  • The Last Thirty Years Have Been The Warmest In Almost Half A Millennium
In the last three decades the earth has seen warmer temperatures that were recorded in more than four hundred years before this point. More people, industrial plants, and pollution mean the problem is growing bigger and speeding up.

This is just a small portion of what´s happening I hope you do something to cange what´s happening in our earth.

TUESDAY QUOTES

It makes me happy to think that on Tuesday´s I can come home and post quotes on my blog, it´s my favorite day to blog.
I hope you are enjoying them because the joy I feel by posting them is incredible.

"Life is just a chance to grow a soul."
-A.Powell Davies

"And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years."
-Abraham Lincoln

"I like living. I have sometimes been wildly, despairingly, acutely miserable, racked with sorrow, but through it all I still know quite certainly that just to be alive is a grand thing."
-Agatha Christie

"All men have a sweetness in their life. That is what helps them go on. It is towards that they turn when they feel too worn out."
-Albert Camus

"Expect nothing, live frugally on surprise."
-Alice Walker

"Life is a process of becoming, a combination of states we have to go through. Where people fail is that they wish to elect a state and remain in it. This is a kind of death."
"Dreams pass into the reality of action. From the actions stems the dream again; and this interdependence produces the highest form of living."
-Anais Nin

"Life is a process. We are a process. The universe is a process."
-Anne Wilson Schaeff

"Love life and life will love you back. Love people and they will love you back."
-Arthur Rubensteins

"How is one to live a moral and compassionate existence when one is fully aware of the blood, the horror inherent in life, when one finds darkness not only in one's culture but within oneself? If there is a stage at which an individual life becomes truly adult, it must be when one grasps the irony in its unfolding and accepts responsibility for a life lived in the midst of such paradox. One must live in the middle of contradiction, because if all contradiction were eliminated at once life would collapse. There are simply no answers to some of the great pressing questions. You continue to live them out, making your life a worthy expression of leaning into the light."
-Barry Lopez

"There are as many nights as days, and the one is just as long as the other in the year's course. Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word 'happy' would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness."
-Carl Jung

And the quote of the day: Life´s uncertain, eat dessert first.

Just Monday

Every Monday is the same for me it´s not exciting and really gets on my nerves it doesn´t fill me totally with happy endings but at least it gives you things to talk about. Today was probably the most embarrassing day for me ever yes it was and the explanation would be even more embarrassing and I´m getting out of topic. Anyways I couldn´t be talking any better about Colombia´s beauty and kindness but it´s what the blog is about so you better be liking it because what we have is time, space, creativity and a person (probably more) trying to change a false perspective.

Today I will give you some interesting pages you should check out, they will be of the different topics I´ve been talking about here in my blog
COLOMBIA-SA: the best page I have found so far it has all the information you need to know about Colombia including music, maps, facts and much more.

Colombia- Official Site For Tourism: the best site for those encouraged to come and visit Colombia´s incredible places.

Colombian Food: this is a great site to find more detailed information of some of Colombian food.

Colombia Fairs and Party´s: Great place to see the different carnivals, party´s, celebrations, fairs and much more, and why not see if you might come to one and enjoy.

Some Foods

Colombia has plenty of foods to enjoy their flavors come form the saltiest to the sweetest and are so tasty they become irresistible. In this post I will show a picture of some foods describe it and where it´s from.

First let´s talk about the best rice you can ever eat: Arroz con coco/ Rice with coconut

This rice is from the Atlantic Coast of Colombia and it is incredibly delicious, it is a rice with a coconuty taste that will live in your mind forever.

The Bandeja Paisa, probably the most known of Colombias cooking, it comes form the Coffee zone of Colombia and it is conformed of rice, beans, fried platain, ground meat, chicharron(a kind of bacon), white arepas, chorizo (a kind of sausage) and avocado to make it even tastier.

Arepa de Huevo, yes the egg is inside the arepa, a perfect way of making the best breakfast. This comes form the Atlantic coast and the arepa is fried with a cooked egg inside. Irresistible.

Sancocho de Gallina/ Chicken soop, this spectacular soop comes form El Valle del Cauca. It is made up of cooked platain (not fried), yuca, chicken and a special herb called silantro which makes it the best sancocho you can taste.

Empanadas, they are done basically all over Colombia in different ways, some are done with meat, potato, sometimes they put chicken and the outer part is made out of corn. In many places of Colombia they are fried with different ingredients.

Something Sweet

Manjarblanco, wow it is the best thing you can EVER taste it is a kind of caramel only MUCH BETTER it is made with milk and sugar in a big copper pan where it´s stirred until it becomes chewy and delicious to eat. Manjarblanco comes form el Valle del Cauca.

It´s so much food it is uncountable I will talk about this some other day I hope you enjoyed and are willing to come to Colombia and taste some of it´s outrageous tastes.

What´s Going On?

My, oh my, this world is a total disaster while some people don´t know what to waste their money in others just can´t buy a thing, not even something to eat. I know I already wrote about this but I think it´s never enough, because it´s such a big reality. It´s all over the world everyone knows about it but, few do anything about it.

I just want to make you think and reflect about the things you worry about at the end they are simply stupid and ridiculous. I mean the world doesn´t spin around anyone. The world is not based in one single persons life or reputation or whatever it´s based on the whole world and off course the whole world makes it a disaster I mean you, me and evreyone makes it worst all the time. We polute it treat wrongly and underestimate what it can do to practically destroy US.

Oh well I know this is probably unworthy of my time to do but trying won ´t make me lose anything. Afterall everything was done trying the hardest as anyone could.

Know I want to show some videos of the world´s reality:

TUESDAY QUOTES

Guess what people? It´s TUESDAY which means it´s quote day get ready for todays quotes!

"The shepherd drives the wolf from the sheep's throat, for which the sheep thanks the shepherd as his liberator, while the wolf denounces him for the same act, as the destroyer of liberty. Plainly the sheep and the wolf are not agreed upon a definition of the word liberty; and precisely the same difference prevails today among human creatures."
-Abraham Lincoln

"All religions, arts and sciences are branches of the same tree. All these aspirations are directed toward ennobling man's life, lifting it from the sphere of mere physical existence and leading the individual towards freedom."
-Albert Einstein

"Him that I love, I wish to be free -- even from me."
-Anne Morrow

"Freedom is not merely the opportunity to do as one pleases; neither is it merely the opportunity to choose between set alternatives. Freedom is, first of all, the chance to formulate the available choices, to argue over them -- and then, the opportunity to choose."
-C.Wright Mills

A brief candle; both ends burning
An endless mile; a bus wheel turning
A friend to share the lonesome times
A handshake and a sip of wine
So say it loud and let it ring
We are all a part of everything
The future, present and the past
Fly on proud bird
You're free at last.
-Charlie Daniels

"Patriotism is not short, frenzied outbursts of emotion, but the tranquil and steady dedication of a lifetime."
-Adlai Stevenson

"I think patriotism is like charity -- it begins at home."
-Henry James

"A man's country is not a certain area of land, of mountains, rivers, and woods, but it is a principle; and patriotism is loyalty to that principle."
-George William Curtis

"A thoughtful mind, when it sees a Nation's flag, sees not the flag only, but the Nation itself; and whatever may be its symbols, its insignia, he reads chiefly in the flag the Government, the principles, the truths, the history which belongs to the Nation that sets it forth."
-Henry Ward Beecher

Quote of the day: "It´s not about waiting for the storm to pass, it´s about learning how to dance in the rain"

BARICHARA

Last week was spirit week and for this holiday I visited Barichara a beautiful little village with colonial houses and streets. Barichara is a Colombian National Monument, and has many activities that can be done there and in near villages. In Barichara you can appreciate the Colonial art and aswell do some street walking and buy some Colombian artesanias (artcrafts). In the near areas you can enjoy different caves both for extreme explorers and children, also in the near villages you can go to beatiful cascades where you can do rappel and other extreme sports. You can also enjoy of rafting in the river and do the walk to Guane a beatiful village near to Barichara where the Guane Indians used to live. Just one hour away you can go to the The national Chicamocha Park.

TUESDAY QUOTES

Yesterday I forgot about Tuesday quotes because I was just updating again after spring week, so I will post them today Wednesday just for this time.

"Attempting to get at truth means rejecting stereotypes and cliches."
-Harold Evans

"I have been a victim of stereotypes. I come from Latin America and to some countries, we are considered 'losers,' drug traffickers, and that is not fair because that is generalizing."
-Ricky Martin

"There are a lot of stereotypes to be broken which I think a lot of us are doing. What I do is, as soon as people try to pin me down to one kind of part, I'll play a very different kind of role, so it explodes that stereotype."
-Joan Chen

"I regard class differences as contrary to justice and, in the last resort, based on force."
-Albert Enstein

"I am not interested in picking up crumbs of compassion thrown from the table of someone who considers himself my master. I want the full menu of rights."
-Bishop Desmond Tutu

"The first principal of nonviolent action is that of noncooperation with everything humiliating."
-Cesar Chaves

"Now my friends, I am opposed to the system of society in which we live today, not because I lack the natural equipment to do for myself but because I am not satisfied to make myself comfortable knowing that there are thousands of my fellow men who suffer for the barest necessities of life. We were taught under the old ethic that man's business on this earth was to look out for himself. That was the ethic of the jungle; the ethic of the wild beast. Take care of yourself, no matter what may become of your fellow man. Thousands of years ago the question was asked; ''Am I my brother's keeper?'' That question has never yet been answered in a way that is satisfactory to civilized society.
Yes, I am my brother's keeper. I am under a moral obligation to him that is inspired, not by any maudlin sentimentality but by the higher duty I owe myself. What would you think me if I were capable of seating myself at a table and gorging myself with food and saw about me the children of my fellow beings starving to death."
1908 speech
-Eugene V. Debs

Finally quote of the day:Be who you are and say what you want, because those who mind don´t matter and those who matter don´t mind.

DANCING

"Dancing is the hidden language of the soul"
"Dance to the beat of life"
Dancing is everything to me it is like my therapist only it´s not person that gives me advice but something I can do for myself to be happy and enjoy life. That´s why today I will talk a bit about Colombian Dances. Colombians love to dance and the energy we put in it is incredible, some Colombian dances have African and colonial roots.

In the Atlantic Coast we can find various dances because they have a very energetic culture and have the Carnaval de Barranquilla. Some dances are Vallenato invented in Valledupar, Mapale form african roots, Currulao, Porro, Puya, Merecumbe, and much more.

In the Pacific region you can also find lots of happy people and lots of dances as well like Colombian Salsa in the Salsa capital Cali-Colombia, Caderona, Bambuco viejo, Danza Chocoana, and many more dances full of happiness and passion.

In the Andean Region you can also find various dances some examples are Bambuco, San Juanero, Porro Antioqueño, and many more.

In the Orinoquia region you can find more dances also full of energy like Joropo, Guacharaca and many more.

This are just some dances of Colombia of course the most important dance of Colombia is CUMBIA the national dance that is totally entertaining and unique.

Some Opinion

Lately I have been trying to understand humanity. While some people are dying for something to eat others are crying because they don´t have the last Blackberry model (Oh My God). I mean while some girls cry because their crush didn´t look at them others are sexually abused. Is that fair? for humanity it has become fair.
Good for those that received an education and those who have "good values" you got you´r freaking job and bought what you wanted and most importantly you only care about you´r life- that´s how it has become, unfortunately. I´m so mad with people everywhere in the world they just can´t stop being self centered they just can´t see that they are a tiny part of the world. Can´t they see? the world is a DISASTER yes a DISASTER. It´s chaos, violence, unfairness, injustice, poorness it´s everything except conformation, know a days we are greedy we want more and more and more it´s unstoppable and we are still caring about stupid problems while others don´t even have water or bread or ANYTHING. Ugh I´m tired of it, it´s enough the world doesn´t orbit around anyone OK? not even you by the way. The world was made for everyone to be happy not for just SOME to be happy. I hope you get something from this and start helping and do something that will REALLY help the world not just YOURSELF.

Today is Tuesday which means that Today is inspirational quotes day!

Madness

Customs at airports make me mad. Especially when Colombians get to U.S Airports and all you can see is how evilly they stare at us(some people I´m not stereotyping). The truth is it is kind of unfair, unfortunately people have done wrong stereotypes of Colombians just because we have a beautiful culture filled passport doesn´t mean there are drugs in our system clothes or bags. The treatment that we receive is unacceptable, I mean there´s good people and bad people in every single country.

Stories
Just because my dad was Colombian and sent a small bag in an airplane just like any other person, it was returned broken without even an apology just a little paper saying U.S security opened this bag. Funny NOT

Just because you are Muslim doesn´t mean you are a terrorist, just because you´r Mexican doesn´t mean you are illegal, just because you are Latin doesn´t mean you are violent, just because you are an American doesn´t mean you aren´t nice.

This is not against U.S.A its just anger against stereotypes. Believe me I know.

TUESDAY QUOTES

Guess what? Today is the quotes day, today I will post some inspiring quotes about different topics and different authors or people including Colombians:

"Moving on, is a simple thing, what it leaves behind is hard"
-Dave Mustaine

"What do we mean by patriotism in the context of our times? I venture to suggest that what we mean is a sense of national responsibility ... a patriotism which is not short, frenzied outbursts of emotion, but the tranquil and steady dedication of a lifetime."
-Adlai Stevenson

"No matter that patriotism is too often the refuge of scoundrels. Dissent, rebellion, and all-around hell-raising remain the true duty of patriots."
-Barbara Ehrenreich

"My Country! When right keep it right; when wrong, set it right!"
-Carl Schruz

"Nobody deserves your tears, but whoever deserves them will not make you cry"
-Gabriel Garcia Marquez

“What matters in life is not what happens to you , but what you remember and how you remember it."
-Gabriel Garcia Marquez

"It is not true that people stop pursuing dreams because they grow old, they grow old because they stop pursuing dreams."
-Gabriel Garcia Marquez

“I prefer an ugly lie to a pretty lie. If someone is telling me the truth that is when I will give my heart."
-Shakira

Finally the quote of the day or just a funny sentence:
"Fighting for peace is like Fucking for virginity"

One More

Lately I´ve been thinking about the previous earthquakes that took place in Haiti and Chile. I just want to write a bit of my ideals and what I feel about these things.
The earthquake situations are simply a natural disaster that is actually caused by us the consumers, the polluters, the wasters. We tend to think that we don´t make a big effect on Global Warming but that is ridiculous to think in this moment. Glaciers are melting, natural catastrophes are more normal and become worst all the time.
In other words we have to do something. The world is a disaster in this moment and we have to start now not tomorrow, today.
Colombia was the second country with most water in the world, know it is the tenth. This is just to show you a piece of the magnitude of Global Warming. So then improving is bad for the environment? I don´t exactly know 0probably yes, anyways we have to stop thinking about ourselves for once and begin to think about the WORLD´S COMMUNITY AND BIODIVERSITY.

I just wanted to change my topic a bit and write to try to change someone’s opinion about global warming, MAYBE IT DIDN´T WORK BUT IT´S WORTH TRYING.

Some Quotes

I have been thinking deeply on what to post lately and I decided I would post some quotes about related topics of my blog:

The Key to change ... is too let go of fear
-Rossane Cash

A man's country is not a certain area of land, of mountains, rivers, and woods, but it is a principle; and patriotism is loyalty to that principle.
-George William Curtis

A thoughtful mind, when it sees a Nation's flag, sees not the flag only, but the Nation itself; and whatever may be its symbols, its insignia, he reads chiefly in the flag the Government, the principles, the truths, the history which belongs to the Nation that sets it forth.
-Henry Ward Beecher

This are just a few quotes about the topics I´m handling. It´s just to show that not only me but everyone should be patriotic and give the greatest image of their country in every way.

(I will do the quotes every Tuesday)

And now a beautiful video of Colombian soldiers being patriotic:

The Elections

The last eight years for Colombia have been very good. Good changes have been happening. This changes have been very good for Colombia. During the last eight yeras Colombia´s president has been Alvaro Uribe. He wanted a third period of presidential election but Colombia´s congress denied the third period of presidency for Alvaro Uribe.

There are both good and bad things of the Third period being denied

The Good
There needs to be change
Alvaro Uribe has been a great president but if in the future there is a bad president that where to run for a third period of presidency and wins that would be bad for Colombia
Power isn´t everything

The bad
Who know´s if the next president is going to be good?

Anyways Colombia will still improve and become a better place all the time, lets hope the elections are fair and that the chosen president is good for Colombia and it´s people.

How can we change something?

We tend to think that we want to make a big change for the world but we always question ourselves how to do it? I personally think that a big change can´t be done from one day to another, but changes must be done one at a time. Changes can be started with small things, probably the best way to do this is by persuading people to help you in the goal you have and trying very hard to do change. Well this was just made to show that I want to make a change probably it isn´t that big but at least I´m trying, the change I want to make is small and I am trying to do it through this blog (change the perspective of Colombia). I don´t know if this may sound weird but well things just go that way and everyone wants to make a change small or big and to do that you must start with small things like being proud of your country in this case and doing anything to make it happen.
